The best gas rewards credit cards, are cards that give you cash back bonuses or rewards on gas, AS WELL as on other purchases. An example of a great gas rewards card that feature this is the TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express, they offer cash back rewards for gasoline, restaurants, travel and virtually anywhere else.
Another popular gas credit card is the Discover® Open Road(SM) Card which currently offers double cash back bonus on gas purchases, and restaurants. This card features no annual fee, and a 0% introductory offer.
The Blue Cash(R) from American Express is another great credit card for gas purchases. Even better, this card is good for up to 5% on purchases at supermarkets, and drugstores as well. All other purchases are eligible for cash back as well, just not 5%. Currently, there is no limit on how much you can spend to earn cash back.
If you haven’t given the Chase Freedom(SM) card a look, this one gives you $50 cash back on your first purchase, along with cash back rebates on purchase for categories like gas and department stores. There is also a 0% intro offer on the card.
As far as gas credit cards go, it is better to choose a card that doesn’t limit you to one gas station, plus gives you the opportunity to earn rewards on other purchases. Gas specific credit cards, are usually only good for that gas station, and carry annual fees and higher interest rates.
