For those who have received an invitation through email or mail, they need to provide the RSVP code from the letter. The RSVP code has 14 characters, with one letter and 13 other numbers. The zip code where the message was received should also be given. Once you receive the mail, the first thing you need to do is to go over the benefits and features of the card. Then, read and understand the card agreement to discern whether the terms and conditions are fair for you. If you believe that the restrictions and fees are worth it, you can proceed to the form filling procedure.
Note that the American Express® Gold card invitation does not necessarily mean that you will be approved for the card. Your credit score and income requirements will still be assessed by the company. If they see you fit for this premium plastic, you can expect to receive your card within a week or so. The good news is that American Express® has joined the instant approval bandwagon.
